This shawl is based on the Robert Frost poem "Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening". Very simple stitches combine to show the falling snow, the barren woods and the windswept drifts. It is worked from the top down and measures 74" x 35" (188 x 90cm). It uses approximately 1260yds (1155m) of lace weight yarn knitted on 3.5mm needles. For intermediate knitters.

Two delicate lacey scarves from Anne Corcoran's Forest Scarves series.

Fern (shown left) is a lovely mini shawl knit from the top down. A simple fern stitch creates the lacey shawl, which is finished with a delicate arrowhead lace stitch. It measures 36" x 16" (92 x 42cm) and uses approximately 630yds (580m) lace weight yarn. For intermediate knitters.

Flower (shown in additional image, link below) uses just one small lace flower stitch to create a very feminine scarf. It measures 36" x 7" (92 x 18cm) and uses approximately 630yds (580m) lace weight yarn. A simple but very effective design for advanced beginners.

Queen Anne's Lace - Forest Scarves I - Tree & Leaf Ref: QAL/FSTL/PT

First in the Forest Scarves series are two pretty designs - Tree & Leaf.

Tree (shown left) is worked from the cast on edge to the cast off edge - decreasing and increasing for the ruffle.

Leaf (shown in additional image, link below) is worked in two sections from the cast on edge to the centre and joined with a 3-needle bind off.

Either scarf can be made with 630 yards of any laceweight yarn.

Pattern for a lace scarf or stole with a rich leaf and floral design that pays tribute to the earth's bounty. Worked from a provisional cast on at the centre back, this pattern gives instructions for two edgings and two ruffles.

The scarf measures 11" x 68" (28 x 173cm) and uses 630yds (580m) of laceweight yarn. The stole measures 32" x 66" (158 x 168cm) and uses 1260yds (1155m) of lace weight yarn.

A Moebius strip has only one surface, and only one edge. Intriguing to knit, this geometric oddity makes a beautiful yet functional scarf. When placed around the neck, it crosses itself in front and stays in place.
